CEMOI’S EXPERTISE IN AGROFORESTRY
In cocoa farming, agroforestry can be defined in a simple way as a cropping system that consists of combining perennial woody plants of high nutritional, therapeutic and market value and / or cocoa farming on the same plot. CEMOI has been developing expertise in this field for a few years. It is in this context, that an agroforestry handbook was co-produced by our teams of experts and made public in April 2018. It is the result of a successful collaboration several organizations including ECOTIERRA, the Coffee Council and cocoa from Côte d’Ivoire, the World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF), the National Center for Agronomic Research (CNRA).
