Transparence Cacao works with producer organisations to strengthen governance, management systems and implementation capacity.
The programme promotes clear responsibilities, internal monitoring systems, corrective action processes and communication mechanisms that support programme delivery and farmer engagement.

Transparence Cacao aims to strengthen the professionalisation and operational capacity of producer organisations across all participating origins.

Strengthening cooperative capacity through farmer coaching
Since 2023, Transparence Cacao has partnered with Mangrove Consulting to strengthen the capacity of producer organisations and support farmer professionalisation in Côte d’Ivoire. Working through cooperatives, the programme combines farm diagnostics, individual coaching and tailored farm development plans covering agroforestry, good agricultural practices, entrepreneurship and income diversification.
By 2025, 42 cooperatives and 5,625 farmers had participated in the programme, including 2,425 additional farmers coached during the year. A total of 1,772 farm development plans had been established, including 472 new plans in 2025, supported by 1,116 farm diagnostics covering 2,020 hectares.
Among participating farmers, 96% had adopted pruning practices and 66% had integrated complementary tree species into their farms. During 2025, activities also supported the planting of 4,801 trees, the geolocation of 12,237 agroforestry trees, and the preservation of 7,436 naturally regenerated tree saplings.
