The January 1st 2018, Patrick Poirrier, CEMOI’s Group CEO joined the Board of World Cocoa Foundation (WCF)
With its long-standing commitment to the sustainable development of cocoa, CEMOI has been an active member of the WCF for 10 years and is one of the 12 leading companies in the global cocoa industry which, last March, joined the WCF to cooperate for curbing deforestation in the cocoa supply chain.
The World Cocoa Foundation (WCF) is an international non-profit organization that promotes sustainability in the cocoa sector. WCF members include cocoa and chocolate manufacturers, processors, supply chain managers and other companies around the world, representing more than 80 % of the global cocoa market.
WCF programs benefit farmers and their communities in the cocoa growing regions of Africa, South Asia, and the America regions.
The mission of WCF is to catalyze public-private action to accelerate the sustainability of cocoa. The organization promotes multi-stakeholder partnerships, dialogue and knowledge sharing to make a real difference in the cocoa supply chain.
The entry of Patrick Poirrier into the WCF Board of Directors reinforces the position of the CEMOI group as a leader company in the field of sustainable development.
