The Cocoa & Forests Initiative is the first global partnership bringing together the governments of the world’s leading cocoa producing countries and the private sector in a common framework for sustainable cocoa. Transparence Cacao was among the first signatories of this initiative because our Group is aware of the challenges facing the cocoa sector.
There is no good chocolate without good cocoa.
This logic is the cornerstone of our commitment to sustainable chocolate production for several decades and our TRANSPARENCE CACAO programme helps to anchor it at the heart of the cocoa industry.
The World Cocoa Foundation reaffirmed last March 4th the commitment of the actors of the sector through the action plans implemented in the producing countries around 3 main topics:
- Forest Protection and Restoration
- Sustainable Production and Farmers’ Livelihoods
- Social Inclusion and Community Engagement
